Festival theme song by long-time Fuji Rock lover and Legend of Fuji Rock, Kiyoshiro Imawano’s, “Going Up The Country” [Inaka e Iko] to be released on vinyl!

The iconic song that is played at Green Stage every morning of the festival, this is the song we all know and love which opens the festival each day and has become a anthem for Fuji Rock lovers across the globe.

The long awaited release of the songs featuring differing versions of the song is made possible through the collaboration of the festival’s official fan site, Fuji Rockers Org and Universal Music!

The version to be released by Universal will feature the song “Sweet Lovin'” which was originally released on the album Ruffy Tuffy.

The Fuji Rockers Org version will feature a recording of “Naeba Ondo”, the tradiitonal matsuri dance song played at the opening party on Thursday night at the festival each year.

Both the Universal and Fuji Rockers Org versions feature a lush green vinyl for this limited release on July 5th!

This year’s Fuji Rock Festival is going to start again with those beloved lyrics, “Why don’t you come along? Let’s go!”
