THIS YEAR’S HEADLINERS ARE FOO FIGHTERS, LIZZO, AND THE STROKES!

The first line up announcement for Fuji Rock ’23 include 31 artists and the three headliners! From rock ‘n roll legends to newsworthy artists of our day, the line up this year may be the greatest to ever ring out across the mountains of Naeba.

The Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Famers and kings of Fuji Rock, Foo Fighters are back to headline the festival since their appearance at the festival eight years ago; Grammy nominee and queen of the pop world, Lizzo, is headlining; and one of the most important bands of the 2000’s, The Strokes will be back at Fuji after 17 years to headline the festival. These rock legends and top stars of the pop music world are the perfect headliners for Fuji Rock Festival 2023!

Also on the bill are: Lewis Capaldi who topped the UK album charts for 6 weeks and sold out his UK arena tour, Louis Cole who’s big band sound has taken the world by storm and sold out his Japan tour last year, dream unit NxWorries with genius drummer and rapper ANDERSON .PAAK and charismatic leader of the beat scene KNXWLEDGE, and Weezer who’s talent has been shining with new project SZNZ, will all be appearing at this summer’s Fuji Rock!

Diva of the alternative rock scene Alanis Morissette who last played Fuji Rock 22 years ago in 2001, cutting master Cory Wong who’s been called one of the top guitarists of our time, Denzel Curry the amazingly talented rapper popular across the United States, the quintisential shoegazers who’s performance at Fuji Rock in 2017 is still talked about Slowdive, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs who were nominated for the Grammy’s Best Alternative Music Album and chosen by various media outlets as the best artist of the year, and Yo La Tengo who are often called the ideal American alternative / indie band, will also be performing at this year’s festival.

Don’t miss performances by the most important band in the new generation UK rock scene Black Midi, Mercury Prize nominees IDLES, Alexander 23, Fever 333, Dermot Kennedy, Ginger Root, JATAYU, Neal Francis, Yard Act, the reknowned producer and new star on the scene GRYFFIN who’s live performance is sure to blow you away, ROMY known as a member of The XX, OVERMONO, TSHA Live, and YUNG BAE!

Or the unique acoustic electronic trio GOGO PENGUIN, Sudan Archives who were chosen by Pitchfork as Best New Music and are the talk around the world, “multi-ethnic alternative K-Pop band” with their genreless style Balming Tiger, and a special set by the once-in-a-lifetime combo of “rag-mop” star G.Love and surf rock legend Donavon Frankenreiter!
