1.Dynamic Nature
Feel the bright sun of summer or be soaked in a downpour. Witness the beauty of sunlight filtering through the trees or be refreshed by the smell of the forest while walking through it on a misty morning. Brilliant starlight, miraculous sunsets, the song of wild birds, and friendly dragonflies… You may only be spending three days there but Naeba is overflowing with the beauty of nature for all to enjoy. Feel the dynamics of nature as you watch performances, move around the festival, or even just when you’re relaxing in your tent.
2.Walk the Boardwalk
The boardwalk connecting the main stages of the festival stretches for 2 kilometers. See the diversity of life in Naeba as you walk its length and enjoy the decorative lighting in the evenings. Don’t miss out on the sounds of the babbling river and the wind rushing through the trees as you bask in negative ions on a barrier-free stroll through the forest.
3.Play in the River
Things get get heated at Fuji Rock between the sunshine and powerful performances. Cool down at the riverside area near Tokoro Tengoku. Dip your feet in the cool stream and take a moment to relax both your body and mind. The laughter of children as they play in the river is just another great part of the festival experience at Fuji Rock.
4.Take a ride on the Dragondola
The Dragondola is the longest gondola in Japan with a trip to the summit taking a full 25 minutes. The terrain is quite rugged and the gondola can get up to fairly fast speeds making it a treat for kids. Look down on the festival from on high as you make your way to the relaxing space at the summit full of fun relaxing activities for both children and adults.

5.Play with nature at Kids Land
Kids Land is located between the Green and White stages and is the main stage for kids! Ride the retro merry-go-round, zoom down the humongous slide, let’s your kids find adventure and discoveries in the hand-made playground, and explore to their heart’s content. Climb into the tree house or relax on one of the log benches in this area where kids can be kids.
*Diaper changing and nursing facility available. Please keep use of the facility short to make way for others.
6.Get your fill of the festival’s gourmet offerings
Fuji Rock Festival boasts over 80 different food and beverage vendors full of variety. The popular “KirizaiMeshi” at Naeba Shokudo is eco, healthy and embodies “eating local” and features locally produced items. “KirizaiMeshi” is a delicacy local to Niigata and is full of vegetables and protein from natto making it the perfect super food for Fuji Rock. Features large portions for sharing.
7.Camping in Unforgettable
Camping is one of the main attractions of going to Fuji Rock! Wake up with the sunrise, wash your face in the middle of the forest and enjoy both music and nature to it’s fullest. The festival is a collaboration of Mother Nature and great music. Seeing parents enjoy themselves and having an experience like no other is sure to stay with children as they grow.

8. Learn How to Throw Away Garbage ~Zero Garbage Navigation~
All audience at the festival are given Fuji Rock original waste bags when entering the festival. The garbage bins at the festival are labelled for everyone to seperate their garbage and volunteer staff are on hand to encourage recycling. These efforts, known as “Zero Garbage Navigation” is an integral part of Fuji Rock Festival, which is known as the “cleanest festival in the world”. Proper disposal of waste is a small thing parents and children can do to protect the natural environment of the festival. Protect the fun at Fuji Rock by protecting the environment at Naeba.
9. Learn About Different Types of Recycling ~Recycling at Fuji Rock~
Many may not be aware that the history of Fuji Rock is a history of recycling. For example, the wristbands audience members wear while at the festival are recycled for use as official festival merchandise such as keychains and paper cups used at this year’s festival are recycled into toilet paper to be used at next year’s Fuji Rock. Plastic bottle caps have been turned into benches, and many other materials used at the festival are recycled and reused. Learn about the different ways garbage is recycled at the festival.
10. Learn About Issues Facing the World Today ~NGO Village~
War, refugees, illness, the environment. There are many issues facing the world today which need to be addressed. There is a place at Fuji Rock where these issues are communicated in a simple and easy to understand way. The NGO Village hosts organizations to gather and support working towards solutions to the many important issues of our day. Enjoy the natural surroundings and keep an open mind as you learn about what you can do to help the world.
11. The First Step is Always the Hardest ~Volunteering~
Protect the environment of Naeba and protect Fuji Rock Rock. Zero Garbage Navigation is looking for volunteers. If someone tosses trash on the ground – someone has to pick it up. If this doesn’t change, there will be no progress. Reduce waste and dispose of garbage properly. Learn about the meaning of these actions and put them INTO action. Discuss how to protect the environment we all enjoy so much. And put it all into action everyday of your life even when not at Fuji Rock Festival.
