Please help us sort our trash so that we can carry on this tradition into next year.
Q. How can we prevent feeding wild animals such as monkeys?
If food or trash is left unintentionally, it can become food for wild animals, which may then appear at campsites and cause damage.

Unlike in the city, there are insects such as bees, flies, mosquitoes, and gnats living here.

Preventive measures to avoid bee stings
- Do not approach the hive (as long as you do not get too close, they will not attack you unexpectedly).
- Wear clothing that fits snugly against your skin to prevent bees from getting under your clothes.
- Avoid yellow or dark clothing and hats (especially yellow and black striped patterns are the most dangerous).
- Avoid strong-smelling perfumes and cosmetics.
- If a bee is flying around you, move away slowly and quietly.
- If you get too close, crouch down. Due to the nature of bees, there is a chance that you may be able to escape their sight.
- White hats and clothing are said to be relatively safe.
Preventive measures against tick bites
Unlike house mites, large field mites parasitize and feed on the blood of medium to large animals (rabbits, deer, etc.) to lay eggs. If a human happens to come into contact with a field mites, they will be bitten and suffer damage.
If you are bitten by a field tick, it only causes a slight itch and pain, so you may be inclined to treat it yourself, but please be aware that if the field tick is carrying a pathogen, it can cause infectious diseases such as scrub typhus or Lyme disease, which can worsen your overall condition and cause skin symptoms, fever, facial nerve paralysis, etc.
- Wear light-colored clothing with a smooth, fine weave.
- Wear clothes that fit snugly against the skin to prevent the virus from getting inside your clothes (including tucking the bottoms into high-top shoes or knee-high socks).
- When you return to Lodging, check for signs of field mites, ticks on your clothes, hair, and bites on your head.
- If you find a bite, do not crush the insect, but pull it out with tweezers or something similar (preferably within 4 hours).
