For those coming by train
Shuttle bus available from Echigoyuzawa Station (¥1,000 / free return)

• Drive time from the station to the festival is approximately 40 minutes but can take up to an hour during peak congestion.
• It can take up to an hour to get on the shuttle bus during peak congestion. Be sure to leave plenty of time to get back to the station. Shuttle may not return to Echigoyuzawa station in time for the last train departing Echigoyuzawa during peak congestion.
• There is no other way to return to Echigoyuzawa station when the shuttle is not running.

Here are some points that you may find useful when preparing your luggage.

Raincoat
Proper one for camping & hiking as no umbrellas are allowed in the festival site.

Thermos
Best to use for both hot and cold drinks.

Hand towel
Handy as sun shade, wipe, cooler, etc.

Extra change of clothes
In case of rain, sweat, mud.

Footwear
Sneakers, trekking shoes, or boots that have a good grip. It will get muddy.

Hat
To avoid sunburn, heat. A must!

Cold Weather Items
Cold tempuratures are expected in the evenings this year! The festival is at a high elevation and the nights can get cold. Long sleeve outer wear, fleece, or windbreakers are advised.

Large Garbage Bag
For use to keep clothing dry, sit on and more.

Pocket tissue
In case there's no toilet paper.

First Aid Kit
So that you can take care of any minor injuries such as abrasions. Best to have cream for bug bites (ticks, bees). Also best to have your usual medicines for headaches, stomach aches, or colds.

Light
Headlamp flashlights are best as you can keep both hands free. There are many places in the festival which are dark at night.

Mobile Battery
There are no places in the festival to charge your battery. It is best to bring a portable battery to charge your phone, etc.

Wallet
To keep money, credit cards safe. (e-Payment services are available on site. *Mobile phones with overseas carriers unable to use e-Payment services at festival.)

Portable ashtray
A must for smokers.

Comfortable clothes that do not restrict movement and non-slip trekking shoes are recommended.The festival is being held at the end of August this year and low temperatures are expected at night. Use of long sleeved under garments, fleece jackets and waterproof outer shells / jackets are recommended.
Weather at the festival is likely to vary and extreme drops or rise in temperature is not rare. Please prepare clothing suited to all weather conditions. Water proof jackets and shoes will be very useful.

Bees, wasps and ticks reside in the area. Loose fitting clothes and exposing your skin should be avoided to prevent insects from coming in to your clothing.

Use or possesion of tents, tarpaulin shelters, blue sheets and parasols,etc., are not allowed in the festival site.

The use of such equipment obstructs other people's views and takes up too much space, leaving others struggling to find space when crowded. The festival has found that unattended sun shades, etc., create large blocks of empty space that could be used by other festival attendees who had no space to stand to see the stage. The use or possesion of any such equipment (including tents, parasols, flysheets or tarp shelters, etc.) that occupy too much space and obstruct the view of other people is prohibited in the festival.

The use of leisure sheets or "blue sheeting" inappropriate to the number of persons using the space and folding outdoor chairs are prohibited at the festival.

Use of items such as folding chairs, even if of the type allowed into the festival, to save space is strictly prohibited.

It is also prohibited to occupy any amount of space for prolonged periods of time.

Use of blankets, sheeting or chairs are prohibited in the following areas.

[Stricted Areas]

• Red Marquee Area (including outside of the Marquee tent.)
• Areas forward of the sound booths and lighting towers at each stage and areas directly in front of the stages.
  Regardless of area or location depending on congestion, the use of sheeting, blankets and/or chairs may be prohibited. Be sure to follow directions if announcements are made over the PA systems or so instructed by festival staff.

In recent years, the number of instances of sheeting or blankets being left unattended and thus people being unable to use a space even though nobody is there has increased. Please be sure to take sheeting, blankets, chairs and all belongings with you when moving about the festival.

While it is permitted to bring and use cameras at the festival, photographing, filming and recording of performing artists is not allowed.
Please also note that the use of ""selfie sticks"" while walking and in areas near the front of the stages or when congested is not permitted.

Smoking while walking is not permitted in the festival. Neither is smoking permitted in crowded areas. Smoking is not permitted in no-smoking areas. If you smoke, please be sure to carry a portable ashtray with you.

Non Smoking Areas:
Mosh pit, the front area beyond the sound/lighting tower of each stage, Red Marquee and Kids Land are all non-smoking areas.

Pets are not allowed in the festival site.

Use of umbrellas are not allowed in any areas of the Festival including campsites. Sharp tips cause hazards and can be dangerous when obstructing others' field of vision. Umbrellas are not usefull during heavy rain. Please bring a proper water-proof jacket for camping or mountain hiking.

You can but please turn off the engine.
Also, parking is not allowed in places that are not parking lots in the areas surrounding the festival.
Parking is not allowed along national roads or store entrances.

Children under 15 years of age are free to enter the site as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

KIDS LAND has facilities for children. Please note children cannot be left there unaccompanied.

If you need a diaper changing or nursing place, you can use Kids Land or the first aid tent.

• Please refrain from using the first aid tent for children's naps nor can children be left at the first aid tent unaccompanied.
• We don't supply diapers. Please bring your own.

Those with disabilities who are unable to view the performances on stage should tell the staff in the sound & lighting control booth so that we can help you get a better view.

If you are a physical disability certificate holder and plan to attend the festival, please contact us prior to the festival at 03-5720-9999 (weekdays 12:00-18:00).

Green stage area wheelchair space
This space is reserved for people in wheechairs at the Green stage audience area. Use of the area is limited to people in wheelchairs and one attendant.

Wheel chair access toilets
Wheelchair accessable toilets are located throughout the festival.

The priority tent is located at the far back of the Green stage audience area and is reserved for the following people only:

• People with disabilities and an accompanying person.
• Pregnant women and an accompanying person.
• Preschool age children and an accompanying adult.
• The use of the priority tent is strictly limited to the above.

Please note:

• *The Priority Tent is a temporary rest space. Use of the space will be kept to under 1 hour for each use.
• *Those who have a Disabled Person Booklet may use the tent throughout the day as needed. (Those without a Booklet are asked to refrain from using the tent.)
• *Accompanying persons are limited to 1 person.
• *The entry by a group of people is not allowed even if the group includes a person listed above.
• *Please refrain from leaving your belongings unattended in the tent.
• *If you would like to use the tent, please inform the attendant at the entrance to the tent.
• *Please note that space is limited and not guaranteed for use when crowded.

Priority toilet facilities are availble in each area for disabled persons, those accompanying small children, children, pregnant women and older festival goers. Anyone may use the priority toilets but please give use of the facilities to the above persons.
Priority Toilets are located in the Outer Shop Area, past the Main Entrance, the White Stage and the Stoned Circle.

There is no exclusive lane for credit card users therefore please mention that you would like pay by card when checking out. Please note there may be a chance that your card cannot be processed due to poor service connection and we ask for your understanding.

Tent
A waterproofed camping or hiking tent.
*If your tent is new, we suggest putting it together once before coming to the festival. It may be raining when you arrive to the festival so its best to practice before hand and you can check that you have all the bits and pieces.

Sleeping Bag
It gets very cold at night. Be sure to bring a sleeping bag that is good for cold weather.

Sheets / Mats
Many tents get flooded when it rains hard. It is best to use plastic sheeting inside and outside to prevent getting wet.

*The use of tarps is prohibitted.

Tents are not available to rent at the campsite. Be sure to bring your own tent and everything required to use it.
Tents are available for rent at the bus tour campsite ""Pyramid Garden"" (advance reservation required).

Yes. Please check the on-site maps for locations.

There are food stalls both inside and outside the campsite. There are some that open for breakfast. Be sure to use the barbeque area if you cook. Use of fire is prohibited outside of the barbeque area. Charcoal and cooking utensils are not provided so be sure to bring your own. (Cooking is allowed in the campsite area in the Moon Caravan area.)

Please go to the campsite information booth or a nearby first aid tent.

There are no charging services in the campsite. We suggest bringing a mobile battery to charge your phone. (Use of generators is not permitted.)

Use of umbrellas are not permitted in the campsite area or anywhere in the festival.

Smoking is permitted but please make sure not to bother your neighbors. Please use a portable ashtray.
*Smoking while walking is dangerous and is not permitted anywhere in the festival.

Pets are not allowed into the campsite.
(Pets attended by the owner are permitted in the Moon Caravan and Dog Run areas)

Skateboards are not permitted in the campsite nor festival. Bicycles are also not permitted in the festival but bicycyle parking is available outside of the festival gates.

Yes.
Do not leave valuables in your tent and be sure to take them with you. The festival is not responsible for damaged or stolen items. Be sure to close up your tent when leaving it and well as make sure the tent is securly fixed to the ground with pegs or ropes, etc.
*The campsite is very large and there are many of the same type of tents. Many people lose track of where their own tent is located. We suggest you mark your tent and personalize it to make it easier to find.

Echigoyuzawa station closes between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 5:30am. Entrance to the station and its grounds is prohibitted during these hours.

• Parking along national highways or near the festival parking lot before the parking lot opens is prohibitted.
• Be sure to check what time your parking lot opens before arriving.
• Do not park illegally in the areas surrounding the festival.

Garbage receptacles are available in the festival and campsite.
Do not leave your garbage around and be sure to throw it away in the correct bin.
Please note leisure sheets, folding chairs, tents, etc., may not be left at the festival.
The garbage bags available upon entry to the festival as well as the toilet paper used in the festival are made from recycled garbage from the previous years' festival.

Unlike in urban areas, there are insects such as bees, wasps, mosquitos and ticks in the area where the festival is located.

Although the festival works to remove dangerous beehives before the festival starts, it is not possible to find all hives so please be cautious. It is important to be careful about unexpected insect bites in natural surroundings.

・Please use insect repellent and protect yourself.
・Please do not enter the woods and other restricted areas.

Bees and wasps

• Don't go near the hives. As long as you don't go near them, they won't attack you.
• Beware of loose fitting clothes as you don't want ants in your pants!
• Avoid yellow or black clothes or hats. Yellow and black stripes are particularly dangerous!
• Avoid strong smelling perfume or cosmetics.
• If a bee comes flying around you, move away slowly. If it is already very close to you, try to crouch down very slowly. Due to a bee's nature, you may be able to disappear from its sight by doing so.
• White hats and clothes are considered relatively safe to wear.

Ticks
Ticks here are different from the mites that you find in houses. Ticks suck the blood of medium to large animals. If ticks carry viruses when you come in contact with them, it may cause infection. This may result in nausea, fever, rash or in some cases, facial palsy.

• Wear brightly colored finely woven fabrics with a smooth surface.
• Avoid loose fitting clothes and tuck trouser bottoms into your boots/socks.
• When you get back to your accommodation, check for any trace of bites. Also check your clothes, hair and scalp in case you carried any ticks with you.
• When you find a tick on your skin, don't squash it. Pull it off gently, ideally with tweezers. (Within 4 hours if possible.)
