BOARDWALK CAMP EVENT TO BE HELD SATURDAY JULY 5th!
Experience Fuji Rock Forest ahead of time!
The last Boardwalk Camp before Fuji Rock to be held!
A wooden walkway/boardwalk stretching approximately 2 kilometers through the forest within the Fuji Rock Festival grounds.
This boardwalk, which has been affected by snow and wind, is being repaired and maintained in preparation for the Fuji Rock Festival, while visitors enjoy nature at the “Boardwalk Volunteer Camp.”
Despite the unfortunate rainy weather on Saturday, May 24, many people participated and we were able to make significant progress!
And finally, on Saturday, July 5, with Fuji Rock just around the corner, we will hold our last Boardwalk Camp before the festival.
No specialized knowledge or experience is necessary.
We will prepare a delicious lunch and look forward to seeing you there!
Naeba Boardwalk
Every year, we have been working with over 300 volunteers and local residents to create this wooden boardwalk that makes it possible for people in wheelchairs to enjoy nature.
Constructed without the use of heavy machinery or chemical materials, this “organic” boardwalk is built solely using natural wood and human labor, taking years of steady effort. It is the second boardwalk of its kind in Japan, with construction beginning in 2002.
Every year, we maintain the boardwalk and conduct activities such as forest conservation around the boardwalk through our “Boardwalk Camp” program.
